Drupal wins best overall open source CMS award

Drupal has won the Packt Publishing annual Open Source Content Management System (CMS) Award in the ‘Overall” category for the second year in a row. Second place was awarded to Joomla and in third place was DotNetNuke. Drupal also won the award for the Best PHP content management system. Over 79% of Australians are Internet users

Based on the Nielsen // NetRatings for August 2008, of the 20.6 million Australians, 16.35 million use the internet at home or at work. This means that 79.4% of the Australian population have access to the internet and most are regular users.
 
Based on the average web usage for August 2008, a user will have 43 sessions per month and visit 67 different domains. They would spend 44 hours per month connected to the internet and spend an average of 53 seconds on each web page.
